The fact that Cat Bishop makes sculptures out of recycled materials is nothing entirely unique. What blows our mind is how good she is at it. Take for example Leo, the suave camera robot. Built out of a bakelite Kodak Brownie 127 body with domino and dice legs and a #6 bakelite poolball, this retro-matic robot conquers our heart.

Chris Piascik is a doodle font magician and our obcession with his work is almost absurd. Though it was hard to choose from his prints at his shop, we ended up going with "I like to ride bikes", because well, we do.

If you want something completely original for your home, you can do no wrong with Meredith Dittmar's polymer clay artwork mounted in plexiglass shadow boxes. The amount of detail Meredith puts on this clay work is astounding.

I've never seen anyone use scientific graph paper for their art, but it sure works well in this framed gouache painting by Lisa Congdon. "buds on graph paper" stands 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide and sells for $90.00.

California artist Junkyard Sam's art style is incomparable. It was hard to choose one print from his eclectic collection, but we settled on the Pellets of Mass Destruction since it combined painted pencil drawing and it was colored by digital ink.
