Hair Like a River by Sloe Gin Fizz

Hair Like a River by Sloe Gin Fizz
Come on, admit it, you saw the image above and were immediately grabbed by the powerful orange and black combination in Hair Like a River by Sloe Gin Fizz. The artist describes it as an inspiration taken from a line in a poem by Rita Dove. The work is printed on textured Epson Velvet Fine Art paper with archival pigment inks.

Show this print some love, hang it on your wall.

Cat Bishop Blows Our Minds with her Recycled Sculptures

Cat Bishop Blows Our Minds with her Recycled Sculptures
The fact that Cat Bishop makes sculptures out of recycled materials is nothing entirely unique. What blows our mind is how good she is at it. Take for example Leo, the suave camera robot. Built out of a bakelite Kodak Brownie 127 body with domino and dice legs and a #6 bakelite poolball, this retro-matic robot conquers our heart.

Check out Cat Bishop's Etsy shop for a ton of other crazy recycled sculptures.

L'amour en cage by SibylleD

L'amour en cage by SibylleD
$20.00 fetches you a 11x17 original digital illustration print by SibylleD titled L'amour en cage. The artwork is inspired by one of SibylleD's favorite flower, the "les amours en cage". We love the way the orange gets playful with the light brown tones.

Find more stuff from SibylleD at her Etsy Shop.

Chris Piascik's I Like to Ride Bikes

Chris Piascik's I Like to Ride Bikes
Chris Piascik is a doodle font magician and our obcession with his work is almost absurd. Though it was hard to choose from his prints at his shop, we ended up going with "I like to ride bikes", because well, we do.

Found at Print Brigade.

Mimi's Absence no. 12 on Veneer

Mimi's Absence no. 12 on Veneer
Michele Bosak (or mimi) is a sculpture/drawing maniac. We spent a while on her Etsy Shop checking out her unique work. We decided to highlight Absence no. 12 on Veneer giclee print for its thoughtful use of color on the wooden textured background.

Found at Etsy for $27.00

Graph This
I've never seen anyone use scientific graph paper for their art, but it sure works well in this framed gouache painting by Lisa Congdon. "buds on graph paper" stands 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide and sells for $90.00.

Thicket Limited Edition Print by Betsy Walton
Artist Betsy Walton has a nice collection of prints available at her shop. One of our favorites is the 8.5" x 11" Thicket Limited Edition, of which 50 were printed. Only one remains at her Etsy Shop.

Found at Morning Craft (Betsy Walton's web site).

Pellets of Mass Destruction by Junkyard Sam

Pellets of Mass Destruction by Junkyard Sam
California artist Junkyard Sam's art style is incomparable. It was hard to choose one print from his eclectic collection, but we settled on the Pellets of Mass Destruction since it combined painted pencil drawing and it was colored by digital ink. The end result is a rough colorful look that pleases our eyes. The 8 inch x 10 inch print can be had at Etsy for a mere $35.00.
