Pour a Lil' Sugar on Me

Pour a Lil' Sugar on Me
Zevro has come up with an ingenious way to dispense sugar. The Sugar 'n More Dispenser (Model EMY100) allows you to dispense a specific amount of sugar: either 1/4, 1/2, or 1 teaspoon of sugar. You may also alter the sizes by installing 1 of 3 different measurement accessories that come with the package. We find this useful, specially for our daily coffee where we can stick to one set measurement and always get the right sweetness. The Sugar 'n More Dispenser also allows you to set the dispenser to sprinkle or pour, so you don't always get the Niagara falls pour. +1 for usefulness.

Watch Hulu On Your Television

Watch Hulu On Your Television
We rarely speak about computer software here, so excuse us for a moment. MediaMall Technologies recently released PlayOn, a piece of software that allows you to stream Hulu video to your TV via a Playstation 3 or XBOX 360. Hulu is currently a view-on-computer-only affair, so this enables you to watch it comfy on your couch. The computer and gaming systems must be connected to the same network, and you need to follow a few steps to get it working, but the BETA worked well and it allows us to get more entertainment out of our expensive gaming systems. You can also stream YouTube videos with the software and the company has plans to stream Netflix movies as well. For those who felt left in the cold when Netflix announced XBOX 360 exclusivity, this might come as a welcomed announcement.

If you have no idea what Hulu is, visit the Hulu site. The PlayOn beta software can be had at the MediaMall Technologies web site.

Design Your Own Modern Lamp with Builtby Lamps at Inhabit

Design Your Own Modern Lamp with Builtby Lamps at Inhabit
Creative control is something we crave. Builtby Lamps gives us that creative freedom allowing us to design our own set of lamps via the inhabit web site. You get to choose the multiple parts that make up the base of the lamp in various shapes each ranging from .25 inches up to 4 inches. Once you do that, you choose from five different colors or four different wood swatches per piece. Your total price is determined by the sizes, colors, and finish (wood) you choose for each piece. The parts you buy are swappable, so if you are not 100% happy, you can re-design on the fly with the pieces you bought or you can order more color combinations from the web site. This gives you the freedom to repaint your room in the future and just swamp out the old for the new significantly easy. Slick.

For those of you design-challenged the inhabit web site also provides you with pre-designed lamps to make your life easier.

Check it out at the Inhabit web site.

More Proof Alarm Clocks Need Not Be Ugly

More Proof Alarm Clocks Need Not Be Ugly
Alarm clocks don't need to be ugly. Philips proved this fact with their AJL308 digital photo frame and clock radio. We certainly like the trend continuing to skew towards that end and though the Bedol "18-Zone Time" alarm clock isn't as featured rich, it does look mighty fine with the translucent LCD display. Date, temperature, calendar, and full-month display round up the features in this alarm clock bringing sexy back.

Team7 Uses Natural Non-Toxic Wood For Furniture

Team7 Uses Natural Non-Toxic Wood For Furniture
Our title sounds a bit ackward does it not? A company using natural wood for furniture is somehow unique? Well, if recent trends are any indication, then yeah, it is. While most furniture companies are using MDF or partical boards, Team7 uses natural solid wood. And instead of finishing the wood off with chemical stains, Team7 uses herbal oils and waxes instead.

It's time we give bedrooms some love and no better way to do it, then with natural wood.

Little Odd Forest Turns On The Cuteness

Little Odd Forest Turns On The Cuteness
We love indie shops because of their unique items like this Chirpy Bird Coasters in brown (chocolate) and yellow. The coasters come as a pair made out of corduroy and are machine-embroidered. Size is what you'd expect from a coaster: 4.5" x 4.5".

Get it at Little Odd Forest.

Toto Neorest Shows Why Toto is in a League of its Own

Toto Neorest Shows Why Toto is in a League of its Own
Toto is a Japanese company known for their outrageous toilet technology -- you know, toilets that spray scents, clean from underneath -- that sort of thing. But, their technology prowess can also be found in their sinks. Their Neorest Lavatory uses SanaGloss Glazing, which basically seals the ceramic smooth so bacteria doesn't collect in tiny holes. Needless to say, this kind of "glaze" allows your sink to be much cleaner than your traditional none SanaGloss sink. The Toto Neorest Lavatory also includes a motion sensor powered faucet that allows you to activate both hot and cold water, while a sexy LED will either turn blue or red depending on the temperature.

MILK Table - A Designer Table

MILK Table - A Designer Table
MILK by designer Søren Kjær is a fantastic example of pushing-design. We are frankly excited by its Apple-like lines: slick and smooth. The functionality is also well thought-out with cubies that serve various purposes like storage or display. One example used by the designer is a fish tank inside one of the table cubies (pictured below). Additionally, there is an area to file papers inside the table itself, cable exists, and even a cable drawer to hide away the ugly wires.

A Modern Mailbox For the Modern World

A Modern Mailbox For the Modern World
Take a stroll through Home Depot and you won't find a mail box that calls out modern design. I should know, I ended up buying a plastic mailbox. Designer Frank Samuels created a stainless steel mailbox, which he called Premier Mailbox. The contrast between the stainless steel body and the cedar plywood is striking. And don't worry about the rain as the mailbox has been coated three times in a UV-protected sealer. The mailbox will set you back $400, and the stainless steel stand another $280, so a cheap mailbox this is not.

Birds in Flight

Birds in Flight
Anna Hennessy is known for her apparel and tote bag prints and designs, but her other designs are worthy of mention as well. One of our favorites? The "birds in flight" bird sculptures. Each sculpture is cast out of hydrostone, which is then sanded and painted. With a wingspan of 17 inches, it is big enough to stand out, but not overpowering. Our recommended space for "birds in flight" bird sculptures? A child's room.

These are limited edition and can be found at Anna Hennessy's web site for $220.
