This huge 16 feet across backyard water slide/lagoon has two water slides and a small lagoon near the front of the play area. Included in the Big Blue Lagoon is an air blower that plugs into a 120V outlet so it can inflated fast. Also included are a patch kit for minor repairs and 12 total stakes (eight for the water park itself and four for the air blower). Kyouei Design Ceramic Umbrella Pot

Kyouei Design Ceramic Umbrella Pot
The Kyouei Design ceramic umbrella pot is a combination of a large umbrella pot and a small plant pot attached at the bottom. After coming home from a rainy day, you place the umbrella on the pot and the water from the umbrella drains into the plant pot via small internal holes. The water that would once just evaporate or make a mess in your foyer, will now help contain life. This design won't be a hot seller in the hot deserts of California, but those in rainy Seattle might want to take a look at this one.

Alfredo Häberli Modern Pattern Bookshelf

Alfredo Häberli Modern Pattern Bookshelf
Books are typically stacked horizontally in a very unsurprising layout on your average bookshelf. Alfredo Häberli throws that concept out the window with his Pattern Bookshelf, which is a series of pentagons stacked in different ways and forms. The concept is interesting and it works. When you see the books stacked on this bookshelf it makes you want to explore the contents therein.

The bookshelf is available in 2 flavors: traffic white and silver. Both have black edges and show the milled aluminum.

Price is unknown.

Buy it at Quodes.

You won't find fake wood here as the vanity is made of Solid Oak wood with modern accents made out of brushed chrome. Roku Introduces the Netflix Player

Roku Introduces the Netflix Player
The Roku Netflix player is a cause for a lot of excitement for Netflix subscribers like myself. I've been visiting the web site HackingNetflix for months hoping something would turn up. I'm glad this is finally out and though we have not had the chance to try it at our offices yet (we are working on getting a unit), you should check it out.

The Netflix player allows you to stream movies that are available as Instant Watch on the Netflix web site, directly into your TV. You simply connect the box to your home network (via ethernet or WiFi) and plug the device into your television via any of the standard video/audio connections (HDMI, Component, S-video, RCA jacks, optical audio).

Currently the video stream is near DVD quality (based on your internet connection speed), but we are betting that there will be High Definition content coming in the future. And since this set-top box has the capability to play and output High Definition content, there is very little risk of the player being outdated very quickly.

What makes this player more exciting is that it retails for only $99. And if you are a paying Netflix subscriber, you don't need to pay for any of the instant watch movies. Compare the price to something like the Apple TV where it costs $229 for the unit plus the price of each movie rental, and it looks like even more of a bargain.

We hope Roku answers our requests for a detailed review, but for now, check out the Roku web site to get informed.

Hand Drawn Goldfish Tile from Xenia Taler

Hand Drawn Goldfish Tile from Xenia Taler
Xenia Taler is a small company out of Toronto (that's in Canada for those that failed geography) run by Xenia Taler and Steven Koblinsky. They do hand-painted tiles like the gorgeous goldfish tile featured above. The tile measures 4 inches by 6 inches, though there is also a circular version. The tile is safe to use in kitchens, bathrooms, and table tops since they are made durable enough for installation jobs. Each of these tiles will set you back $34.00.

The circular version we previously mentioned is 6 inches in diameter and has a groove on the back and cork at the bottom so it is easy to install and safe for your walls. Each of those is $40.00.

Idyllic Table Garden (Mini Garden)

Idyllic Table Garden (Mini Garden)
This table garden is roughly the size of most Manhattan apartments (8.5 inches by 5.75 inches - zing!), so it should fit comfortably on top of any coffee table. No doubt this mini garden oozes cuteness from every bit of its micro gravel. You will want to pinch its cheeks, even though it has none. Every Idyllic Table Garden includes a tray, pots (2 of them), bricks, gravel (the cuteness-oozing one), grass seeds, and Miracle coco soil. By giving you a kit, you get to arrange the garden your way.

The Idyllic Table Garden was designed by Chris Collicott - we admit we have no idea who he is, but he makes some cool stuff.
